Our first apartment

Four months ago, we finally moved out of Marc's folks' place. We spent our first 6 months of marriage living with them, and while we are grateful for their kindness and generosity... Can I just say that it feels awesome to have our own little space now?

After browsing tons of apartment ads, we finally found one near EDSA Cubao, about 100 meters away from the highway. It can get pretty noisy with all the vehicles and the MRT passing by, but we've gotten used to it.

Here are some photos of the place when we first viewed it:

And here are some before and after photos:

Yikes! Sorry for the mess haha

It's a tiny place, but we love it. So easy to clean and maintain, and very accessible!

We haven't put up any art on the walls yet, and it seems pretty plain, but we still like having friends come over.

We still don't have a bookshelf, nor any throw pillows for the sofa. The place could still use more decor and such, but we still haven't gotten around to talking about all that. For now, we are just enjoying having our own space.

Custom-made bed!

We received a bed frame and mattress from Marc's parents as a wedding gift and it's pretty awesome!

His mom asked us what kind of bed frame we wanted and created a designed based on our ideas. She is an architect and interior designer so it felt like nothing was impossible. Just kidding. We of course asked for something practical and realistic.

We wanted a tall bed with storage under it and this is what was made:

It's a double bed...

That is tall enough...

...that my feet do not touch the ground when I sit on it.

And it has storage!
6 drawers where we can store linen, important documents, and guitar effects pedals!

Sorry for the dark photos! I'll be posting a video soon to show what our temporary living space looks like now :)
